They are:

Ch 1 - Lost Souls
Ch 2 - Circumstances
Ch 3 - Did You Know?
Ch 4 - Why Are We Here?
Ch 5 - It’s The Law
Ch 6 - What Makes Us So Special?
Ch 7 - Fleet And Stick

I am presently conducting general research for which I would very much like a response from you. Please, no frivolous answers or statements. I am of the belief that the vast majority of us have had it ingrained in us since birth that we will never be rich, that we don’t deserve it. I would like your input. I will never reveal the source of your answers, nor your name or email address.

Survey Questions:

Your age: ______

1. Why are you not earning $90,000.00+ a month?

2. Do you honestly believe you will never be a millionaire? Please explain.

3. Do you honestly believe you do not have the right to be rich? Please explain

4. Has anyone ever told you that you could never be a millionaire?

a. If so, who? (No names, just their relationship to you.)

b. If no one, what is holding you back?

5. Approximately how much do you spend, annually, on self-improvement?

6. What concrete plans are you presently putting into place to ensure you become a millionaire in the near future?

7. And you are...?”

A loaded question, if there is one, because the answer is always something like, “Hi, I’m Jane.”

I am often tempted to reply with “No you’re not,” but usually I just smile at my internal joke and continue with some form of polite conversation.

In actual fact, she is not “Jane.” That just happens to be her name.

Of course we all have names. You have one.

You have a great many possessions, not the least of which is your name. You have clothes, books, a postal address, probably an email address, (or two), a car, a personal computer, a telephone, a cell phone, telephone numbers, a television set, several radios, probably an iPod or mp3 player, and who knows what else. These are your possessions! They are NOT who you are, although there are those who would like you to believe that you are. (“Clothes make the man!”)

Imagine witnessing this conversation at a gathering: “Hello, I’m the three story brownstone house similar to the one at the corner of Fifth and Main. Nice to meet you.” “Nice to meet you too. I’m the black, 2009 Cadillac Sedan deVille.” Sounds ridiculous, doesn’t it?

You are NOT your possessions. But then, if you are not, who are you?

That question should definitely give you pause for thought.

The answer comes from Chapter Six in Dr. Wayne W. That’s right, ALL the life we are CAPABLE of living.

How do you know if you are?

There is one simple, acid test which you can use to find out.

If you have dreams of a better life, if you have a desire for more of anything which you think will make your life better than it now is, that is an indication that you are not living up to your potential. That is the signal from deep inside you that you are truly capable of living more. Whether it is a fuller life you desire, more money you need, love you don’t have, or whatever else it may be, your inner mind is telling you there is something deep inside you that needs fuller expression. You are not living all the life you are capable of living.

And without a chosen purpose in life, you never will.

Why are you here?

You are here to live all the life you are capable of living, and to live it with zest and joyfulness, and in accordance with your chosen purpose. And when you do you not only make this world a better place, the entire Universe experiences increase.

So, if you need help in fulfilling your dreams, you will find a visit to The Life Abundant and to About Samantha well worth while.

Samantha

Are you living the life you really want?

Are you living the life you really want to live, or are you living the life you feel you have to settle for? Is your income where you really want it? Is your life unfolding the way you feel you really would like it to be unfolding? Is your health what you would like it to be? The answer to these questions is, in all probability, "No".

How about your relationships? Could they be better?

Your life is really a reflection of your beliefs, beliefs probably programmed into your subconscious mind before you were six years old. Your subconscious mind constitutes your paradigm for living, and bad programming at an early age leads to behaviour which is self-defeating throughout life.

So, to change your life, your future, you need to change the beliefs stored away in the far reaches of your subconscious mind. This is almost impossible to do on your own.

I can help you change your life for the better. I just smile.

I used to reply that they could have as much money as they think I have. I used to ask them to imagine their annual salary becoming their monthly salary. The usual response I got to that was that I must be a dreamer, and that such a thing would be totally impossible.

Of course, they were right on both accounts! First and foremost, I am a dreamer, but I put my dreams to work! And second, as the late Henry Ford once said, “Whether you think you can, or whether you think you can’t, you are absolutely correct.”

Why do I just smile? Well, I don’t want to appear sad, but sad is what I feel for them. They do not realize that they, and they alone, have put the limits on their lives. So they just dream of the life they have forced themselves to believe that they can never have.

They refuse to believe me when I tell them otherwise. The number of original excuses I hear continues to amaze me.

And so I just smile.

Samantha
samantha@lifeabundant.ca
The Life Abundant

What are you afraid of?

Through my web site I offer seven free lessons to help people get started on their way to wealth and an abundant life. Yes, seven FREE lessons. Lessons with no strings attached.

My chosen purpose in life is to share with others the means by which they can learn to create their own world and enjoy an abundant life, and those seven free lessons were the ones that got me started on my way to wealth. I just wanted to pass on what I had learned so that others could enjoy what I now enjoy.

The interesting thing is that of the many hundreds of visitors to my web site, none has taken me up on that offer. NOT ONE!

I can’t help but wonder why.

Are you afraid that the offer is some kind of scam? (How can something that is free be a scam?)

Are you afraid that you might learn that wealth doesn’t come from your 9 to 5 job? (If you haven’t already figured that out you have my sympathy.)

Are you afraid that you might learn that you could have already been started on your way to a richer, fuller life, and rather than face that fact, have chosen to remain in your comfortable ignorance?

Here’s an interesting set of statistics taken from the US Bureau of Statistics.

If you take a random sample of 100 wage earning people and follow them through the normal 40 years of their working lives, at the end of that time you will find that:

1 - will be wealthy.
4 - will be financially secure.
5 - will continue working, not because they want to but because they have to!
36 - will be dead.
54 - will be dead broke - dependent on the meagre Social Security checks, relatives, friends and even charity for a minimum standard of living.

That means 5% successful, and 95% unsuccessful. That’s scary!

I am so happy and grateful that I have risen from the 95% to that top 1%, and I did it well after the age of 50!

So, what are you afraid of?

If I were you, I would be afraid of being in that 95% of all people who will be unsuccessful in life, because unless you change the way you do things, that’s where you are going to end up.

Samantha
The life of abundance is yours for the taking! Each daily session was a mere six minutes long, at a cost of less than $10.00 a week! This from a man who gets $12,000.00 from each person who attends a similar weekend seminar. Well, at first I was a bit sceptical, but he offered to coach me free for the first week, with a chance to back out at the end of that week. What did I have to lose?

What did I have to lose? I’ll tell you what I had to lose. Had I not accepted his offer, I would be $10,000.00 poorer right now! That’s right, $10,000.00. Let me explain.

At the very first six minute session I was asked to write down a goal to be achieved in 90 days. I put down that I would receive $10,000.00 in extra income from MSIs.

Well guess what? Ta da!!!!

So, ask me, will I do it again? You bet. Only the next time I won’t be setting my sights so low! On that you can bet your last dollar!

Oh, and what’s an "MSI" ? Well you’ll have to let Bob Proctor tell you that.

For the full scoop go to my web site and click on the banner, "The Most Incredible Six Minutes Of Your Life" which you will find near the bottom of the opening page. Esther Hicks says exactly the same thing.

Step one is to have your goal clearly envisioned in your mind. Wallace Wattles says that you must keep this picture in your thoughts with the fixed purpose to get what you want and the unwavering faith that you will get what you want. This is the “asking” step. It is up to you to complete this step.

Step two is the "answering" step. This is where the Law of Attraction comes into play. It is not up to you to do anything to complete this step. It is entirely up to The Universe! This is where having the unshakeable faith that your goal will be achieved comes into play. You may not know HOW you are going to achieve your goal. Indeed, you probably do not! The Universe will show you the way.

Step three is the "receiving" step. If your thoughts are in line with The Universe, if you are living and thinking in “The Certain Way,” which is by the laws of The Universe, you will recognize the answer when it comes, and you will already have taken the necessary action to receive it!

Incredible as it may seem, this is true for everything in your life! Everything!

Samantha
You can learn more about this incredible fact at The Life Abundant.

When you need a turn-around.

John Assaraf, well known teacher from the movie The Secret, and author of the current best-seller The Answer, says, "If you have a positive thought your body actually goes into a positive vibration, you actually attract everything that resonates with that vibration."

A simpler, more easily understood description of The Law of Attraction would be hard to find.

The difficulty is in the making of positive thoughts. It’s not as easy as it seems.

Have you ever tried to "think positive" while in the deep, deep recesses of your being you actually feel that it can’t happen for you? I think it safe to say we all have had that experience – often! Unfortunately it is that deep feeling that is the real vibration you are sending out to the universe, and the results you get are, in Esther Hick’s words, "always a match – no exception."

It is difficult to be positive when surrounded by negativity. How do we get away from that?

Well, for me, I try to surround myself with people who are upbeat, energetic and forward thinking; people who have a positive outlook and a "can do" approach to everything. I don’t need negativity in my life and neither do you.

Every aspect of life is a learning experience from which positives can be drawn. Yes, every aspect has a positive side. I know it is difficult to see things that way all the time, but the more you try, the easier it gets to find those jewels.

The result can be a complete turn-around in your fortunes.

It works for me.

Samantha
You can learn more by visiting The Life Abundant. Spong, said, "The task of Christianity is not to provide security; it is to give us the courage to embrace life’s insecurity without surrendering our humanity."

He went on to say, "Insecurity is a mark of being human. No drug, including the drug of religion, should be allowed to take it away. God is not a name for the forces of the universe that stand ready to snuff out our frail humanity. God is the name of the Ground of all Being that is manifested when we discover the ability to live fully, the capacity to love wastefully and the courage to be in the face of the ultimate threat of non-being."

If, as Dr. Wayne Dyer states in his book, The Power of Intention, we are spiritual beings in a temporary human existence, the "ultimate threat of non-being" is non-existent! So it behoves us to seek a life of "fullness", and to acquire the capacity to love, in its truest sense, wastefully. And to do so one needs a life filled with abundance.

And where can one find that abundance?

Thanks to Wayne Dyer I no longer fear the threat of non-existence. And through The Abundant Life I am finding that abundance I so need to live fully and to love wastefully.

Samantha
Wealth and abundance exist at The Life Abundant!

A Secret Power

Tom Blandi, Author, once said, “Our attitudes control our lives. Attitudes are a secret power working 24 hours a day for good or bad. It is of paramount importance that we know how to harness and control this great force.”

Dr. Wayne W. Dyer said basically the same thing. He said that the way you look at things changes the way things look.

That’s not as easy as it looks. You can choose either to be governed by what you see or to think the underlying truth and to govern yourself accordingly. In other words you can let circumstances dictate your life, which is what almost everyone does, or you can guide your thoughts to create your life the way you really want it to be. It is true, you do become what you think!

For the past year I have been studying Wallace Wattles’ book, The Science of Getting Rich, on a daily basis. At first thought it seems that the book is about money. Well, it is. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. It is a book aimed at getting the reader oriented in thought to the higher purposes in life; service to humankind and the betterment of all who live on Planet Earth. Every paragraph in every chapter is filled with deep, thought provoking insight. It’s focus is the basis upon which, The Secret was made! It was the inspiration behind Rhonda Byrne’s highly successful movie about The Law of Attraction! It provides the tools needed to become the master of your thoughts; to become the creator of your destiny.

That secret power Tom Blandi refers to can be had by exercising the knowledge contained in Wattles’ book. Get it!

Samantha
Copies of The Science of Getting Rich are available through The Life Abundant.

Poverty

Wallace D. Wattles opens his book "The Science of Getting Rich" with this statement: "Whatever may be said in praise of poverty, the fact remains that it is impossible to live a really complete or successful life unless one is rich."

If there ever was a way to start a book with a bombshell statement, this has to be it! I am sure we feel we are living very successful lives. By and large we are comfortable, have a decent home in a decent neighbourhood, and are bringing in enough money to keep body and soul together.

But to open a book and be told, in the very first sentence, that we cannot live a complete or successful life unless we are rolling in greenbacks must certainly make us sit up and take notice.

Yes, Wallace, you have my attention!

What is it to "live a really complete life"? It is to rise to your fullest possible height in mind, soul and body. And, it is to have all the things you can possibly use in doing so.

Now I am willing to bet that you do not have all the things you could possibly use in this life to make it better. I think we are all trying to do more, to earn more, to live better.

And these desires we have are more than wishful thinking. As Wattles says, "The desire for riches is simply the capacity for larger life seeking fulfilment; every desire is the effort of an unexpressed possibility to come into action. It is power seeking to manifest which causes desire."

If you have no desire to do more, to be more, and to live more you are probably dead. Truly!

That first sentence, alone, is rich with meaning and worthy of detailed thought and examination. And the rest of the book is exactly the same. Bob Proctor claims he has been studying the book for forty years and still gains new, meaningful material for his powerful seminars from it. And so it is.

We, too, would do well to follow Bob Proctor’s example and make the study of this little, sixty page, book a daily exercise.

Samantha
Copies of Wattles' book can be had through The Life Abundant.

Be Happy Now!

Earl Nightingale, Radio Announcer, Author and Speaker, once said, "Learn to enjoy every minute of your life. If you are a student of the laws which govern the universe and which affect every aspect of your life, you are well aware of the power of the Law of Attraction, so ably presented in the movie The Secret. And I owe it to quite a few people.

It all started a few years ago when I read a book my partner of almost fifty years had left lying around. Its title, "The Power of Intention" roused my curiosity. "Hmm, I thought, just another self-improvement book." But as I read the cover description I had the distinct impression that it was more than that. My curiosity got the better of me and, although I had many other things that needed doing, I plunked myself down in my favourite chair and started reading it. By the time I had reached the end of Chapter Six I had "learned" so much that I felt I needed to know more. Through the Internet I discovered a series of "You Can Do It" conferences, sponsored by Hay House Publishing. One was to be held in Toronto, so I eagerly signed up. That’s where I met the author, Dr. Wayne W. Dyer. He was the start of it all!

Through that conference I discovered the book, "Ask And It Is Given" by Esther and Jerry Hicks. Again, by the time I had finished the first section I had re-discovered a lot of what I had already known, according to Abraham, and wanted, no needed, to know more.

It was about that same time a friend loaned me her copy of Dr. Amit Goswami’s book, "The Self-Aware Universe", sub-titled "How Consciousness Creates The Material World". What an eye-opener it was, leading me further into exploration of particle physics and the world of quantum physics. That led to John Maddox’s book, "What Remains To Be Discovered". Now I knew that there was much more to this earthly life than I could ever have imagined. I was on a roll.

One day, shortly thereafter, while wandering through the video store, looking for a light-hearted movie I found "What The [Bleep] Do We Know?". The title tickled my fancy, so I rented it for the evening’s entertainment. It turned out not to be light-hearted at all! It was profound. And I was quite surprised to see none other than Dr. Amit Goswami in it, along with a great many other quantum physicists, scientists, psychologists, psychiatrists and philosophers!

All this occurred over a period of two years, and by this time my ideas about life in general, about my religion and my beliefs, had been turned on end. I was seeing things with an entirely new perspective. I knew I was on the right path, but I also knew that there was a lot more to learn. I knew I had barely scratched the surface.

Then it all started to happen in quick time. On a recommendation from a friend we purchased a copy of the DVD movie "The Secret", produced in part by Rhonda Byrne. It literally blew my mind! I watched it twice! The second time I saw things I hadn’t noticed with the first viewing. Since then I watch it about once a month, and I am still seeing something new each time. That prompted me to buy a second copy, which I eagerly lend to friends who have not seen it. Almost every one of them has since purchased their own copy!

It’s funny how, sometimes, fate seems to play its hand at just the right time. In a philosophical mood one evening I entered the word "life" into the Google search bar on my computer to see what it would bring up. The search turned up 1,020,000,000 entries in less that half a second! I narrowed my search by adding "abundant" but by accident I forgot to leave a space between the two words! To my surprise, that reduced the list to six, one of which was "The Life Abundant - The Secret Science of Getting Rich". Now that was just too interesting to ignore. The Secret Science of Getting Rich??? Really! Well, that I just had to see. So, I clicked on it.

That took me to the web site, http://lifeabundant.ca/, owned by Elizabeth Perrin. And that was where I met Bob Proctor, Dr. Michael Beckwith and Jack Canfield for the second time. They were described as "Teachers from ‘The Secret’". So I signed up for the seven free lessons offered there. After all, what did I have to lose? They were free, right? And they were eye-opening!

I knew I just couldn’t leave it there. I knew that the message of "The Secret", namely that the "Law Of Attraction" is constantly at work throughout the universe, was just the tip of the iceberg. I learned that although "The Secret" had made me aware of that "law", it didn’t begin to touch on how to use it! The seven free lessons was a start. That led to "The Briefcase", a complete seminar package, produced by Bob Proctor and his LifeSuccess company, and based on Wallace D. Wattles’ book, "The Science of Getting Rich", which was published over one hundred years ago.

Through Elizabeth Perrin’s web site, "The Life Abundant", I got the package. I have been studying it daily ever since. And, I am beginning to incorporate its lessons within my daily life. The difference is absolutely amazing!

Yes, I have a new life, and I owe it all to these people: Dr. Wayne W. Dyer, Esther and Jerry Hicks, Dr. Amit Goswami, John Maddox, Rhonda Byrne, Bob Proctor, and Elizabeth Perrin. I will never be able to thank them enough.

Samantha

What do I really want?

Orison Swett Marden, Author and the Founder of Success Magazine, once said, "We lift ourselves by our thought. If you want to enlarge your life, you must first enlarge your thought of it and of yourself. Hold the ideal of yourself as you long to be, always everywhere."

Wallace Wattles, in his book, The Science of Getting Rich, suggests that one needs to have a clear and precise mental picture of what it is you want, and to keep it constantly in your mind. Once you know exactly what it is you want, by keeping it in the forefront of your mind you are able to focus clearly on it, sending the right message to the universe through the power of the Law of Attraction.

For me, and I think that for most people, defining so clearly what it is I want is a very difficult thing. It requires a great deal of concentrated thought. Then another problem arises. As I try to concentrate on what it is I really want, the thought that it really isn’t possible suddenly flashes, even if ever so briefly, thorough my consciousness. And I am sure that that negative thought goes out to the universe just as surely as does the thought that gave birth to it! I understand that conflicting messages to the universe result in nothing happening. The Law of Attraction demands clarity in order to work. I guess that this is where faith comes in, faith in knowing that what you really want is already being moved towards you.

So I think I am going to follow Napoleon Hill’s advice, (Think And Grow Rich), and write down what it is I want, and read it aloud twice every day, once in the morning and once in the evening. I know that in order to grow in all areas of my life I need to become larger than my present place. And, I know that doesn’t mean I need to eat more.

Samantha
There is a seminar series based on Wallace Wattles’ book. Seven free lessons from it are available through The Life Abundant. I tried them. Gerber, (The E-Myth Revisited), once said, "The difference between great people and everyone else is that great people create their lives actively, while everyone else is created by their lives, passively waiting to see where life takes them next. The difference between the two is the difference between living fully and just existing."

It seems to me that almost everyone tends to live their life reacting to their environment; to what they think they see and hear. They go along with the crowd. They really don’t think. And their life seems quite hum drum to me.

Now I shouldn’t criticise, for that is exactly the way I went through the greatest portion of my life. It wasn’t until just recently that I "wised up". It was through reading such books as "The Self-Aware Universe" by Amit Goswami and "The Power of Intention" by Dr. Wayne W. Dyer, that I discovered situations and things are not necessarily what they seem. They just "are". It’s what I make of them that counts. And I have learned that the way I look at things changes the way things look. Documentaries such as "What The [Bleep] Do We Know" and "The Secret" were real blessings for me.

Now I do my best to create my life as I want it to be. I no longer worry about "what the neighbours might think", (according to Bob Proctor they don't!), or how good or bad something might appear to be. By daily study and by exercising my thinking mind I am becoming more and more aware of the universal laws which govern everything. And I am so happy and grateful that, at the age of 72, I am growing intellectually and spiritually. I am finding the world a marvellous and exciting place, and I am rejoicing in my life.

Samantha
I found my life through The Life Abundant. Although I don't catch all of her programs, I do watch a lot. The topics she picks are so insightful and so educational. It's amazing what one can learn from them; from the people she features.

When you praise and celebrate your life you are sending good vibrations to the Universe, and according to the universal Law of Attraction, the Universe responds in like kind. Life expands, and you expand. You become "larger than your space" and you grow. You move upwards in all areas of your life.

So, dear reader, do take Oprah's advice. Live largely and celebrate with praise and thanks for what you have. More will come your way. To this day, at 72, I still feel that way. Many times I have been faced with a situation which required action, the likes of which I had never encountered before. Still, I tackled it, knowing that if anyone else could do it, so could I. I never met failure! Yes, I sometimes had to re-work things, and sometimes it took many attempts before I got it right. Most men succeed because they are determined to."

In my opinion, that goes for women as well!

Napoleon Hill, in his book, Think And Grow Rich, suggests the reader put up a sign where it is the last thing you see before going to bed at night, and the first thing you see in the morning. It should say, in one inch high letters, "Quitters never win, and winners never quit."

Wallace D. Wattles, in his book, The Science of Getting Rich, says, time and again, that ability is not what makes one rich.

So, regardless of what you think you possess in the way of ability, you can succeed in any endeavour to which you put your mind. But... it is wise to bear in mind that if your first attempt fails, try a different approach the second time, and again the third time, ad infinitum until you find the plan that does succeed. Only an idiot expects to get different results repeating the same thing over and over.

Samantha
Find success at The Life Abundant!

Caution or indecision?

This morning I received what was supposed to be an inspirational message. The quote, from Luc De Clapiers, 1715-1747, Essayist, was "Action makes more fortune than caution."

My first reaction to that was a big, fat, "Duh!" I find it difficult to imagine how one can make a fortune by doing nothing. Then I re-read it. The second time I saw 'the truth' in the statement. It was 'action' versus 'caution.' The expression which immediately comes to mind is, "Fools rush in where angels fear to tread." But how does this relate to making a fortune?

Again, I can't imagine anyone making a fortune through inaction, save in 'holding' a plummeting stock which suddenly rises beyond expectation. But isn't even that an 'action'? I think that the word 'indecision' should have been used rather than caution. Then the sentence would read, "Action makes more fortune than indecision." To me that makes a lot more sense. The way I see it, indecision is what keeps most people from attaining their goals, not caution.

Indecision stems from a lack of knowledge. Without adquate knowledge it is difficult to make what one would deem the proper decision, leading to the proper action. And yet, that is what leaders are asked to do, time and again. Adequate knowledge is not always available at the 'moment of truth.' It is at times like those that leaders rise. It is at times like those that one needs to rely on 'gut feel.' And, I have come to believe that the feeling one gets in those circumstances is God-given. It is at such times that caution needs to be 'thrown to the winds' and action needs to be taken.

So, in the final analysis, I have to agree. Action makes more fortune than caution.

Samantha
Take action now. Your fortune awaits at The Life Abundant.

Don't Worry. Entertain no notions unsuitable to virtue and reasonable nature."

I have to admit that I am very happy most of the time. However, in accordance with the universal Law Of Rhythm, no one can be that way all the time. There is an ebb and flow to all of life. If it were not so, we wouldn't know what happiness is! So, as much as I would like to be very happy all the time, I understand that this just cannot be. For every up there is a down, but as Marcus Aurelius said, if you keep your thoughts in tune with the Universe, the downs will be quite shallow and very short lived.

As goes the song; "Don't worry. It is a necessity for anyone who intends to give his life and work a touch of quality. The most real wealth is not what we put into our piggy banks but what we develop in our heads. Books instruct us without anger, threats and harsh discipline. They do not sneer at our ignorance or grumble at our mistakes. They ask only that we spend some time in the company of greatness so that we may absorb some of its attributes.

You do not read a book for the book's sake, but for your own.”

I must admit a leaning towards non-fiction, although I do occasionally read a novel, or science fiction work for enjoyment. Although fiction provides a brief respite from our daily world of reality, most of it, and especially that genre referred to as pulp fiction, does little to broaden the mind. I believe that we learn more from reading good books over a lifetime than any school or university can give us in the few short years we spend there.

I find the worlds of spirituality and quantum physics fascinating. And the more I read about them the more they seem to merge into sameness. Books by Dr. Wayne W. Dyer, and Esther and Jerry Hicks are quite fascinating and thought provoking. Napoleon Hill’s book, Think and Grow Rich, makes one take a completely different approach to life, and Wallace D. Wattles’ book, The Science of Getting Rich, deals more with ethics and spirituality than the title would lead the reader to believe. Presently I am reading John Maddox’s book, What Remains to be Discovered, and I am fast coming to the conclusion that the answer is, “almost everything.”

So, do yourself a favour. Read a good book. Start now.

Samantha
lifeabundant.ca

Fantasy and Reality

Barbara Grizzuti Harrison, author and publicist, once said, "Fantasies are more than substitutes for unpleasant reality; they are also dress rehearsals, plans. For, without action, ideas stay nothing more than dreams. And you also know that in changing the way you look at things does, indeed, change the way things look. So, by changing your thoughts you can change an unpleasant reality, (her words), into something good.

Samantha
Find out more about 'The Secret' at The Life Abundant.

Temporary Detours and Delays

Denis Waitley, speaker and author, once said, "Failure should be our teacher, not our undertaker. During our conversation she said that she believes there is a place in each of us that God wants to occupy, if we will only let Him. I find that quite interesting. I asked her to elaborate a little. She really wasn't able to, but she did ask me if I didn't believe the same, bearing in mind that I claim to be a Christian as well.

She was quite shocked when I said, "No!" And she was visibly upset when I asked her if she believed that she had the power to decide where God could, or could not, go. She said that I obviously did not understand, but that she respected my view. Therefore, why could I not respect hers?

Of course, she was correct. I did not understand. I guess I never will. Sigh...

Samantha
lifeabundant.ca

Growing or Dying, Take Your Pick.

Channing Pollock, Actor, Writer and Composer, once said, "No matter how small and unimportant what we are doing may seem, if we do it well, it may soon become the step that will lead us to better things."

Wallace D. There was a time in my life when I considered that it was not worth going on. It is only by accident that I am here today, and I thank God that I am. As a result of that experience I have vowed to never again give up in that "moment of truth". I am determined to hold on at all costs. I wonder if I would have heeded Stowe's advice had I heard it in advance of that moment. I really wonder...

Samantha

lifeabundant.ca

You really were born rich!

Former British Prime Minister, Benjamin Disraeli, 1804-1881, once said, "The greatest good you can do for another is not just to share your riches, but to reveal to him his own."

I believe that everyone is "born rich." I believe that it is through our conditioning that we have ended where we are today. Whether that conditioning came from our parents, our siblings, or society at large, I believe that we are truly products of that. Of course, once that is recognized and as one takes responsibility for one's life that can all be changed.

I do believe that riches are here for us, and that one needs only to receive them. Of course the trick is to know how to receive them. As Esther Hicks, (Ask And It Is Given), says, there are three steps involved. Step one is to ask. Step two is that the Universe answers, every time, no exceptions. But the big step is step three, the receiving. If you haven't read her book, do so. It is an eye opener!

Samantha
Your first step to the riches you desire could be at lifeabundant.ca

Your Right to Wealth

In his book, The Science of Getting Rich, Wallace D. Wattles says, "A person's right to life means his right to have the free and unrestricted use of all the things which may be necessary to his fullest mental, spiritual, and physical unfoldment; or, in other words, his right to be rich."

Upon reflection it seems to me that this statement describes nothing less than the biblical Garden Of Eden which humankind seems to have rejected! To think that it is possible to return to that Garden is an exciting proposition indeed! If we all have the right to be rich, where have we gone astray? Why are we not all rich? And, if I have that right, how can I get there? I think that these are questions each of us, in our own way, has to answer.

Samantha
http://lifeabundant.ca points the way to that Garden!

There Is Good All Around You!

Jesse Owens, 1913-1980, Gold Medal Olympic Track Athlete, once said, "Find the good. But there is truth in the age-old addage, "For every cloud there is a silver lining." Although it sometimes seems impossible to see, I do honestly believe there is, indeed, a good side to everything. In other words, learn to think constructively of all persons, all things, all events, and all circumstances. Appraise them from the ideal point of view. As you do this you will gradually transform your whole existence for the better. These are the means whereby you may steadily promote your welfare and advancement.

As you train yourself to mentally look for the good, you will move towards the good; and, as you form higher and larger conceptions of the good, these elements will begin to find expression in your words, acts, character, person, talents, powers, attainments, and achievements; that is, all things in your life will commence to improve as the direct result of your improved thinking."

Raymond Holliwell

I try to do this all the time, but I find myself so often sliding back into the thought patterns imbedded in my mind by the many years of living on this planet.
